AHL Group Plc was established in 1936 as Tobacco Auctions Limited and was thereafter named Auction Holdings Nyasaland Limited in 1939. Following Malawi's Independence, the Company was renamed Auction Holdings Limited in 1965. In February 2015, Auction Holdings Limited rebranded and changed its name to AHL Group Limited. In 2018 and in compliance with the requirements under the Companies Act, it was renamed AHL Group Plc.
